Server Ban Appeals
Hey there!
This page is here to help explain why you got banned and how to appeal the ban.
First off, getting banned here takes quite a bit of effort. RvO Clan only permanently bans from our game servers for four things which will be discussed below.
Second, we actually do not discuss bans with anyone except for the person that was banned. This includes anyone that the banned member has requested to contact us. Please remember that if a person was banned, it was for a good reason, and that person SHOULD follow proper procedure for appealing a ban, instead of relying on others to do their "dirty" work.
Third, here are the things that can get you banned:
Admin Impersonation (Zero Tolerance Rule*) We do not allow players to impersonate a admin EVER on any RvO servers. If you are caught doing this, you will be banned. There is almost no chance of this ban ever being removed.
Hacking (Zero Tolerance Rule*) We do not allow hacking on any of our severs ever. If you caught, or have been caught by PBBans, you can expect to be permanently banned. If this is the case, we probably won't unban you unless you make a good case.
Repeated breaking of the server rules If you are repeatably breaking the rules on our server, such as camping with a non-sniper class weapon, an admin may decide enough is enough and ban you. Appeals for this sort of ban are usually granted, however breaking the rules after we unban you will cause you to be re-banned.
Spam Spamming on our server is a ban, for apparent reasons. You get one chance, if you are caught again your ban will be permanent.
Appealing a Ban: There are absolutely no guarantees that even if you appeal a ban that it will be reversed/rescinded, especially if you've been banned previously. The best way to do this would be to make a post explaining all the details in the General forum.
Key things to remember:
Be Professional - Think through your post before you post it. Spell check it, do not flame.
Stick to the facts - A thread laced with white or blatant lies will often get overlooked/locked.
If you were legitimately wrong, own up to your error, and acknowledge it.
Please post why you were banned.
Please post your full GUID (found by connecting to a pb enabled server and typing /pb_myguid)
Please post when you were banned.
Key things to NOT do/send:
Don't send other people to contact us on your behalf. If you got banned, take responsibility for your own self. Don't expect/rely on others to do your work for you.
Don't scream, DON'T TYPE IN ALL CAPS, don't use profanity, unless citing a specific example.
Don't play the blame game. You were banned for a reason, focus on yourself, and don't be a tattle tale.
Do NOT use the contact form for this, as your e-mail will be deleted.
